Common problem in WordPress, emails not being sent, not even password reset emails. Often this happens because port 25 is blocked by your hosting company, or due to some configuration problem, or DNS problem…
Luckily we have a solution for this, as we ourselves have faced this exact issue before and have solved it.
In order to fix your email delivery, follow the steps in below.
First of all…
You will need an SMTP plugin, like Kingmailer SMTP WordPress and you will need an SMTP service like Kingmailer

For example you have 5 domains, but you want to manage 1 email inbox. You want to send and receive emails from a single email inbox.
This is the way to go. To illustrate this…
These are the fictive email addresses you have from the 5 different domains:
info@FirstDomain
name@FirstDomain
info@SecondDomain
name@SecondDomain
info@ThirdDomain
name@ThirdDomain
Etc
Your project domains.
Below is the email address that you want to use:
John@Gmail.com
Your Gmail address that you use daily.
So in your Kingmailer-account, you can create MX Email Routing / Forwarding, and have this setup, so all emails send to different recipients, all get delivered to your primary email inbox.
We have a step-by-step guide on how to setup MX email routing using your own domain.
We will assume you have already signed up for a free Kingmailer account, and have already setup your domain. (SPF, DKIM, MX and RETURN PATH)
First thing after adding/verifying your domain in your account is, to create Endpoints.
Follow the steps below to create an Endpoint, from Step 4 we explain how to send emails from Gmail, so not just to forward emails:
Here’s how to get started. If you need help, just send us an email info@kingmailer.co:
Create Endpoints
An Endpoint is where you want the emails to be delivered, it can be your Gmail-address. In your Kingmailer-account go to Routing (1), click on Address Endpoints (2) and then on Add your first address endpoint (3).
Enter your email address
Enter your email address (1) and click Create address endpoint (2).
Create a Route
The Endpoint is there, so now you can create any email address you like, all emails send to this address will be delivered (forwarded/routed) to the Endpoint aka your Gmail address.
Enter a username (1) for your email address for example info@domain so there you’ll enter just info. Select the domain (2) (which you already verified in your account: SPF, DKIM, MX and Return Path). Choose the Endpoint (3) which you created earlier.
Sending Emails from Gmail
Go to Settings > Accounts and Import > Add another email address > Send mail as
Add your email address
Enter your name and your email address, allow Treat as an alias and then Next Step
Enter the SMTP credentials
You can use these settings:
SMTP Server: kingmailer.org Username: enter your SMTP username Password: enter your SMTP password Port: 587, 465, 25 or 2525 Secure connection: TLS
These are all the steps needed to start MX email routing emails.
You can create multiple addresses and have the emails MX routed to your email inbox.
In this tutorial we have worked with Gmail, but you can use any other provider such as Hotmail, Yahoo or Proton etc to setup MX email routing. You can add unlimited number of addresses.
Have emails send to your business domain delivered (routed) to your existing email inbox. This can be your Gmail, Proton, Outlook or Yahoo email address (or any other email provider).
For example Jane sends an email to Peter@Example.com, but you want this email to be delivered to your email inbox at Peter@Gmail.com
You can buy Inbound email routing for only $29.40 per year.

Send important transactional emails like password resets, order confirmations, and more with a reliable SMTP service. Avoid the hassle of maintaining your own email infrastructure while ensuring timely delivery of your emails.
Sending a few emails a day is generally manageable, even if you’re reaching dozens of people. Services like Google’s Gmail limit email sends to 500 per day, and many shared hosting providers also impose email caps. While this might be fine for personal use, sending hundreds or thousands of transactional emails daily can easily exceed those limits. For businesses sending bulk emails or transactional messages to large audiences, cloud-based SMTP services provide the necessary scalability. With services like KingSMTP, you can send transactional emails to any number of customers, triggered by their actions on your site, all without managing your own SMTP server. KingSMTP offers seamless setup and integration for your transactional email needs.
Email servers vs. cloud-based SMTP services
While managing your own email server is an option, sending large volumes of emails—whether transactional or promotional—can be technically demanding. Managing email servers at scale can consume valuable developer time and require significant resources to handle email traffic. Many companies, even those that run their own email servers, often choose to rely on a dedicated SMTP service for transactional emails. The ease, speed, and reliability of using a service like KingSMTP make it an attractive alternative. KingSMTP offers a ready-to-go SMTP relay and a customizable email API for developers seeking more control over email delivery.
Ensuring reliable delivery
Sending emails is only half the battle—ensuring they’re actually received is just as important. Without strong deliverability and tracking mechanisms, it’s difficult to know how many of your emails will bypass spam filters or avoid bouncing. Testing your own servers might help, but it can be time-consuming and may not provide all the insights you need. A robust email service should not only help you scale your transactional messages but also ensure high deliverability rates. KingSMTP enhances deliverability with domain name authentication and email address validation, reducing bounce rates and preventing spam complaints. For companies requiring the highest delivery success rates, KingSMTP’s managed service provides personalized support and proactive monitoring to optimize performance.
Maximizing the impact of transactional messages
Great email marketing feels personal and relevant. Transactional emails—whether they’re password resets, order confirmations, or account updates—can be a key part of your marketing strategy. Tailored, responsive, and relevant transactional messages can help increase customer engagement. With KingSMTP, you can take your transactional emails to the next level by conducting A/B tests and analyzing key events like click-throughs. The platform’s real-time analytics, including open and click tracking, allow you to continually optimize the performance and effectiveness of every email you send.
